Weird Artifacts and Can't See Text Typing Now

I'm getting some weird artifacts now with this software. For example, I can no longer see my text on the screen no matter what settings I check. It doesn't matter how I set things up, it will never show me the text anymore. Whether I do the hold-down key or the double-tap... I do default, compact, or hidden, it doesn't matter. I can never get it to show me my text anymore, so I don't know which window sometimes I'm talking into. Also, I've noticed that I'm getting strange artifacts with a. in the middle of a sentence or in the middle of a word. So whether or not I say the word. it will put one in there sometimes, even if it's a slight pause. or not, sometimes I'm not even pausing, and I just say a word, and it splits the wor
