OK, trying this again as apparently I wasn’t logged in last time three things First of all, you have a major bug in using the middle mouse button. I am a music producer and I use Ableton when I have middle mouse button enabled I have serious drag and drop freezes within that. I finally had to move the keyboard shortcut over to the right control, not ideal as I would like to use it on the left side of the keyboard, but I am not able to map anything else than that. I will not use a third-party tool to help me use a third-party tool. Hopefully you can get that sorted. I guess I’m confused. Did you ever have caps lock working? Why would you stay on your website? That’s a viable solution. Also, the email that I get a bounced back from Wuhs the one that you had and you’re getting started email that sent out this one mailto:alex@paraspech.com. I never did get a reply back from support. I’m assuming you might be a one person shop wanted to help you get it sorted since I just dropped 50 into this if you need lobs or anything for me email me directly or let me know a better way to communicate.
Hey Charlie, just double checked the email and found yours in the spam folder. Not sure why Google auto-categorized it in there, but I've reported 'no spam' and hope that'll fix this. Regarding middle mouse button: Is this specifically happening in Ableton or throughout the system? Regarding Caps Lock: Yes, I've had this functionality before, but it caused lot's of issues for many users unfortunately. Most were using the 'Hyper Key' combo anyways, so I've changed it since. Sorry, the docs were out of date - just updated them!
I only checked Ableton as I was FREAKED out that I might have an issue with ABleton itself. If I have time I can check later today see if any other apps/prograams have issues with it. I am using a Mx Master mouse with Logi+options so there might be a lot there to root cause it?
I'm going to check it out later when I'm home with FL Studio and a few other apps. I also make music, so I totally get this shouldn't interfere.
Okay, so testing. Alright, so what I did was thanks for letting me spend more money. I discovered Raycast and wow, that's amazing. So I'm using the hyper key now as my caps lock and another key modifier. It seems to working great. Back to the other problem with the middle mouse wheel. Yeah, I think it was causing problems with other drag and drop. I just didn't want to mess with it. let me know what you find out. Once again, if you need any more testing, let me know.
Was it only causing drag and drop problems in Ableton or in general for you?
I think that it was causing problems and a few other applications as well like for example I was trying to drag a plug-in onto my stream deck in the same thing it froze
I did download the beta that I saw that you added to a couple other comments. The middle mouse button works as a solution. Thank you so much, I believe this will be a great product.
Hey Charlie, so sorry you had some issues! I'm definitely here to help. Right now, adding Caps Lock directly has some issues on the OS level, but it is possible via Hyper key (e.g. https://manual.raycast.com/hyperkey). Also regarding email: Please let me know which email you wrote to. You should not get a bounce back and if that happens, I've got to fix some things. I just double checked support@paraspeech.com and it worked, but maybe you tried a different mail?
