Every time I unplug my computer I have to re-set up my mic

I have a bug in Paraspeech where it says it's reading from the system default mic but it's not actually. I have my mic set to Automatic, which chooses my camera mic when my Mac is plugged into my monitor, and chooses my built in MacBook Air mic otherwise. Whenever I plug my computer it chooses the MacBook Air mic regardless of the macOS setting, assuming that my MBA mic is the system default. That means every time I unplug my computer and later re-plug it back into my monitor, I have to to choose my webcam mic manually. This is pretty tedious and means I use ParaSpeech less, because I move my computer around a lot and find it annoying to have to open ParaSpeech and choose my mic for a 4-5 paragraph dictation.

Pushed a public beta: https://paraspeech.com/app/Paraspeech-1.4-beta-21.dmg If it still happens with the new version, please go to the Settings > About > Export Logs and please send me the zip file so I can investigate.

Looking into this. I think this should be fixed in the newest release (still in beta, but releasing publicly soon), but I'll make sure to give this another audit.

I'm having a similar issue where I unplug my computer and the input device changes back to System Default from my EVO4 mic setup. It says my system default _is_ my EVO4 in the UI, but it's not really until I change it to manually back to the EVO4. It would be nice to set it to the default mic you want and have that remain persistent—even after plugging/unplugging my machine. Oh, and if it's helpful, my audio interfaces and laptop are all run through and powered by the CalDigit TS4 Thunderbolt 4 Dock. Not sure if that could be a reason I'm experiencing this, too. Thanks!
